CODE OF CONDUCT

Caswell Tennis Center is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment. The policies below outline expected conduct, harassment standards, consequences, and the appeal process.

1. General Athletic Code of Conduct

 

All participants, coaches, staff, and spectators are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and responsible manner
that allows everyone to enjoy and make use of the property and services provided at our facilities.

  • Courtesy, Sportsmanship, and Respect: Demonstrate kindness, fairness, and respect toward staff, coaches, and participants.

  • Responsible Behavior: Act with self-control and consideration at all times.

  • Compliance with Rules: Follow all facility and program rules and guidelines.

  • Respect for Boundaries: Honor personal boundaries and privacy.

  • Appropriate Conduct: Avoid disruptive behavior, aggressive confrontation, or unwanted coaching.

  • Following Instructions: Respect and follow staff and coach guidance.

  • Appropriate Language: No profanity, obscene gestures, or offensive remarks.

  • Personal Accountability: Maintain high standards of conduct.

  • Substance-Free: Alcohol, drugs, and tobacco are prohibited.

  • Damage-Free: No behavior that causes or risks property damage.

    Failure to comply may result in warnings or disciplinary action.

 

2. Harassment and Inappropriate Behavior Policy​

 

Harassment, abuse, threats, assault, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.

  • Stalking: Following individuals or waiting outside facilities.

  • Unwanted Interactions: Repeated or intrusive contact including digital communication.

  • Unwanted Gifts or Advances: Personal or romantic gestures toward staff or participants.

  • Threats or Intimidation: Verbal or written threats.

  • Sexual Harassment: Unwelcome sexual conduct of any kind.

  • Discrimination: Based on protected characteristics under law.

  • Endangering Behavior: Actions that risk the safety of others.

  • Physical Altercations: Any unwelcomed physical contact from tugging on a shirt to assault. 

    Violations are subject to immediate review and disciplinary action.

 

3.  Reporting a Violation

 

Violations should be reported to facility management in person or via email at proshop@caswelltennisatx.com All reports are handled confidentially.

 

4.  Consequences for Violations

  • First Violation: Dismissal from the facility for the day.

  • Second Violation: Two-week suspension.

  • Third Violation: One-month suspension.

  • Fourth Violation: Three-month suspension or possible permanent ban.

  • Immediate Suspension: Applied at staff discretion for safety concerns. Decisions are final.

5.  Appeal Process

Submission of Appeal

  • Appeals must be submitted within 7 days.

  • Appeals must be written and include supporting evidence.

 

Review Process

  • Reviewed by Texas Tennis Consultants management.

  • Shared with City of Austin officials when applicable.

  • Typically completed within 7 to 10 business days.

 

Final Decision

  • Decision communicated via email.

  • Final after city review.

 

Additional Notes

  • All appeals are confidential.

  • Misconduct during appeal may result in further penalties.
